The FIMBA GB +40 Women have been given a boost for an exciting year ahead, with confirmation that Global Travel Worldwide have upgraded their partnership with the team.
Following final selections in January, the FIMBA GB +40 Women had their first team camp at the weekend as well as taking on a mix players from the various Loughborough BUCS teams.
Cancer Charity Care Days is continuing it’s support of FIMBA GB, partnering again with the +40 Women in 2025.
The FIMBA GB +50 Women decided to organise 2 training weekends in January to ensure that the new year got off to a flying start.
With the final two places yet to be decided for the FIMBA GB +60’s women’s team, a group consisting of players who had expressed an interest for selection and players already selected met for a training weekend in Leicester on the weekend of 25th & 26th January.
The FIMBA GB +50M basketball team recently held an intensive training session in Oxford and were hosted, once again, by the Abingdon Eagles Basketball Club.
After one of the most difficult selection processes due to the sheer number of talented players committing to FIMBA GB, the coaches have managed to whittle their 33 strong squad down to the final team for the World Championships in Switzerland this summer.
The +55 Women had their penultimate pre-selection training weekend on 9/10th November, kindly hosted by RAF Cranwell.
The first training weekend of the new campaign which took place in Leicester was designed with an emphasis on running through our offensive plays. This session acted as an introduction to our strategies for new players as well as a refresher for our returning players.
