Following this weekend’s training camp, the European Champions, FIMBA GB +70 Men, have confirmed their entry into the World Championships in Switzerland.
Influential Player and Coach, Jeff Jones, will take over as Head Coach with his son Callum Jones stepping aside to focus on his Manchester SLB team.
The most recent camp took place at the National Basketball Performance Centre in Manchester, as the team welcomed back Peter Radford, who is hoping to be declared fit to play competitively again after his heart attack in Pesaro.
After a very positive training session, the team decided to confirm their entry to the FIMBA World Championships for the first time, where they will be looking to add to their European Gold Medal and continue to inspire all the other FIMBA GB teams. Facing them will be an astonishing 22 other teams from Brasil, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Poland, Puerto Rico, Ukraine, USA, Uruguay and the team they beat to Gold, Lithuania.
