FIMBA GB are delighted to have Care Days as a partner for the o40 Men team travelling to the European Championships in Malaga.
Care Days was started to offer free of charge pampering sessions to cancer patients, enabling those who have been diagnosed with cancer in the last 3 years (including their partner), or anyone recently bereaved through cancer, the opportunity of being pampered free of charge for a morning and to “Live the Dream.”
The concept was created because the founder had cancer and is now in remission, so wanted to give something back and support those in what can be a very lonely, dark and scary place.
When the founder heard that some members of the FIMBA GB Team would find it difficult to pay for the exciting chance to to represent their country, he felt he would like to personally support them.
Nicknamed The GB Wolfpack, the o40 Men will have the Care Days logo on their off-court t-shirts sporting the slogan, “the strength of the wolf is the pack” as part of the partnership.
o40s Men’s player, Bruce Lauder commented, “We are delighted to be partnering with such an amazing charity and will be wearing the Care Days logo with pride during the upcoming European Championships. All of us have been, or will be touched by this horrendous disease and knowing there are selfless people out there looking at ways to improve the lives of the patients and their families during these times gives us all an amazing lift. On behalf of FIMBA GB o40s Men’s team, thank you Care Days for supporting us, but more importantly for the work you do.”
