The o40 Men, nicknamed the GB Wolfpack, were in Nottingham last weekend for their final session of 2021.
With the official session not until Sunday, the Wolfpack took the opportunity to get some shots up at the Nottingham Wildcats Arena on Saturday – putting well in excess of 4,000 shots up between them, they worked on “in game” shooting scenarios as a group and really got into their rhythm.
Sunday saw the squad back on court as Coach Mac continued to push his players hard in a mix of game scenario conditioning and shooting drills. Team Manager, Sasha McCarthy stepped in as Assistant Coach for the weekend to support in some of the drills as the team picked up where they left off in Stevenage last month.
With high energy, determination and the excellent team spirit that is clear to see both on and off the court, the GB Wolfpack worked hard for each other, pushing and encouraging each other at every stage of thye session.
Coach Mac was pleased with what he saw, “We are developing a strong nucleus who are adapting to the way we want to play. Our fast break is developing and our press looks effective. Lots to do before we are ready, but our core is good.”
The team will now take an extended break over Christmas, back on court together at the end of January as they continue to work towards Malaga 2022.
