Next up in our key FIMBA GB member introductions is player and now +50 Men’s Coach, Des Williams.
A businessman with several interests, Des started his balling career as a junior at Milton Keynes before securing a scholarship to St John’s Uni, New York.
He played Summer League for New York City Gauchos before returning to play in the national leagues. Injury forced his early retirement and he embarked on a successful coaching start at Leicester Riders before taking head coaching roles at Keele and the University of Wales Bangor.
Last season he rolled back the years and played for the +55 Men in Malaga, but has now decided to concentrate on his passion for coaching, taking the reins of +50 Men.
