As we finish another successful year as FIMBA GB, we want to wish all our players, staff, fans and families all the very best for a successful 2024.
After completing our second full season of international competition, as well as numerous medals won in various “local” tournaments around Europe, we have added 2 World Cup bronze medals and a European bronze medal to our 7 medals from Malaga in 2022 and FIMBA at home in 2020, bringing our tally to 10 global medals (6 European and 4 World.)
2023 also saw the introduction of a 15th team, with the addition of a +65 Women’s squad, ensuring we now cover men from 35-70+ and women from 35-65+, making FIMBA GB one of the largest global masters basketball organisations. With two key tournaments in 2024, the World Cup in Croatia and the FIMBA European Championships in Italy, FIMBA GB will be looking to adding to their impressive medal haul, whilst remaining one of the more social organisations at the tournaments.
The majority of squads are nearing their final selections, but there will always remain opportunities to train and play with our squads so if you are interested to join us on our journey, please contact admin@fimba-gb.com.
The teams are all self-funded so we are always looking for new partners to support our journey, either for an individual team or for the whole FIMBA GB organisation. If you are interested, please click here to find out what a partnership with FIMBA GB could do for your business.
2024 will be an exciting year and we look forward to sharing our success with the wider FIMBA GB family. Thank you again for all your support and Happy New Year.
