As the FIMBA GB o50 Men’s team is finalised, ex Solent player Andrew Rowlands has been announced as captain.
Andrew Rowlands, “To be selected to represent FIMBA GB over 50s in the upcoming European Championships in Malaga, Spain was a massive honour, but to be awarded the captain of the team at the tournament came as a great shock, an incredible honour.
I am part of an amazing team of players, coaches and support staff. We are building towards the European Championships in Malaga during June 24th – July 3rd with regular monthly get togethers and training sessions.
Training sessions are high intensity and the team are gelling well, through the sessions and developing a understanding of each other as players and people which can always be hard when we are coming together once a month from all round the UK.
With only 5 months before we start boarding the plane to Spain we know the work is only getting harder everyone is looking forward to the challenge and are always looking for additional sponsors willing to come on board with our journey.”
