Men’s o35 Captain, Craig Sharland, shares his thoughts following the most recent training session in Birmingham.
With two o35 Men’s teams going to Malaga, it is a special opportunity for a lot of players, and Craig is excited to be part of the journey, “Fantastic session today, it was great to get all the guys here. Coach Sparrowhawk ran a really good session as always and it was great to get up and down the floor with all the guys after Christmas and start getting prepared for Malaga. The team training is the highlight of the month for most of us.
Next month we are in Northampton with Coach Sparrowhawk and Coach Marv and we have a few new players joining us to add depth and help strengthen the squads. We still have a lot of work to do but everything is looking really positive in terms of our preparation for Malaga.
It’s such a privilege to come along to a session and run with players I have played against in the past or in some cases paid to watch play, as well as meet completely new ballers. There are no egos, everyone is supporting each other and we are just working really hard towards the same goal. There is a strong bond being formed both on and off the court with great communication and banter in the team and I’m loving seeing that grow and develop. This is a really special team to be a part of and I can’t wait to see how far we can go.”
