The game never stops, is the strapline of FIMBA GB, and this weekend when our O65 and O70 men met in Manchester for this month’s training weekend, both squads proved this really is the case.
Demonstrating they really have “still got it”, it was inspirational to see them playing, sinking a few three-pointers, running fast breaks, and still playing tough defence.
The O65 coach Richard Rudd said after the session, “Great sessions today, greatly encouraged by the improvement in the players in this session, and we had a nice match against the O70’s. Looking ahead to Malaga, we will have FIMBA Great Britain on our backs and we are looking forward to seeing what we can do against the rest of the teams in this age group.”
The O70 men’s coach Danny Costello added, “I am pleased with the session today; it’s really encouraging to see how the boys ran the play and created a good one. We had a very effective session today. In terms of Malaga, I am really excited to see what the boys can do as they are working really hard. Good Luck to them.”
