o40s GB Wolfpack Getting Stronger

The Fimba GB o40s Men had another great weekend, this time in Stevenage, as they continued building their on-court cohesion.

Under the watchful eye of Coach Mac, the squad were put through another high energy and high tempo session on Saturday, with a very clear focus on building the team’s identity. The focus on Sunday shifted towards accuracy and decision making under pressure, as well as working on the squads structure on both the defensive and offensive ends.

It was Coach Mac’s first full weekend at the helm and he was pleased with the work ethic from the players, “A good start to our partnership. We worked very hard on defensive and offensive transition with the lads, putting the hard yards into their legs. We are developing a style of play, lots to do but a good start. Everyone worked hard and I think they had fun – which is pretty important!”

Captain Adam Slater added, “another brilliant weekend of basketball for the FIMBA over 40s Men, the team took huge steps forward. With guidance from Coach Mac, who again put us through our paces, we were taken through play progressions further cementing the team identity and pushing the style of play that really suits us as a group. The team effort was brilliant over both days, with no dips in intensity and execution at a high level.”

He went on to acknowledge everyone involved, “thank you to the coaching staff, organisation and the players. Let’s keep this train moving forward – I personally can’t wait for the next session. Bring it on!!”
