The FIMBA GB +35 Women were in Leicester at the weekend for their first camp of the 2024 season.
With several players unavailable at the weekend due to National League commitments and some further invited players expected in November, it was nice to see some new faces joining those returning. The camp focused on offensive plays and effective communication on and off the court and the next camp will include a social so they can get to know each other off the court and build those relationships on it. With the World Cup and European Championships on their radar for 2024, the ladies can’t wait to get back to competition and show the world what FIMBA GB is about.
Fantastic camp this weekend in Leicester with the girls being in good spirits and full of hope for the upcoming tournaments in Europe. It’s always good when we get together after a little layoff and get back into the swing of becoming a team again. A few absences meant the numbers weren’t where they were supposed to be, but we’ve got a good few months to look forward to.
