FIMBA GB Women to host an age group transition camp

Following huge success over the past two year cycle, +50, +55 & +60 Coaches Coffey, Gander and Moult are hosting a joint session to allow players the opportunity to move age-groups and to welcome any new players to the FIMBA GB family.

A journey that started in 2019 has seen the three age groups expand and allowed more players to continue basketball at a high level. With a group that truly encapsulates what International Masters Basketball stands for, they are fiercely competitive on court but also incredibly tight units off it, embracing the fun and social side across the world in local and international competitions.

Following medals at 3 of the biggest global tournaments, the teams have proved their competitiveness and want to ensure all those eligible to move age-groups continue with their successful FIMBA GB journey as well as ensuring anyone wanting to get back involved in high quality basketball and the chance to represent your country has every opportunity to do so. The focus of all 3 teams now moves the FIMBA European Championships, taking place in Italy next Summer.

The one day open session will see all three age groups training together to ensure all players have the possibility to move age groups, meet their teammates and ensure they are appropriately placed to continue pushing for more international medals.

The camp is on Saturday 15th July, 13:00-17:00 at Nechells Wellbeing Centre, Rupert Street, Birmingham, B7 4AR, any new players are invited to contact admin@fimba-gb.com with their details.

The coaching team look forward to seeing you all and continue the next chapter in the FIMBA GB journey.
