Brighton hosted the first joint FIMBA GB +35 & +40 Men’s squads for a one day introductory camp.
With a host of new faces across the two teams, as well as several players looking to continue their FIMBA GB journey by moving up an age category, the tough 3 hour session gave the coaches an opportunity to start putting their direction on to the squads. Coach AJ has moved from the +35 Women to take the reigns of the +40 Men.
I was pleased with the turnout and the enthusiasm of the guys that came and implemented some key factors on what we would like to achieve going forward. The guys seemed keen and are looking forward to our next session in Horsham on the 10th of November.
Coach AJ – +40 Men
This was the first session as a group since the European Championships in Italy, where the +35 Men won bronze and Coach Sparrowhawk and Rake were keen to implement new systems and philosophies including a more open free flowing style on offence leading into the World Cup in Croatia.
The group relished and enjoyed the oppotunity to show their individual skills. whilst building on the bonds that the GB FIMBA culture produce. A positive start to the upcoming campaigns with the standards being raised already through new competition for places in the squad.
