The FIMBA GB +60 Women’s squad began their preparations for the world championships next June with a low key weekend in Oxford on the 14th / 15th September.
Due to injury, holiday and non availability a small group met in Carterton, Oxfordshire for a session to review the European championships, meet new players moving into the age category and look at the plans for the next 12 months.
A good training session on Saturday afternoon looking at various skills and new offence was followed by a game on the Sunday against a local team to put into practise what was covered the previous day. Positive feedback was received from all the participants prior to departure on Sunday afternoon. The squad along with members of the over 65’s will meet next month in Leicester for a 2 day training session on the 12th / 13th October.
