The +60 and +65 Men had a joint camp at Ponds Forge in Sheffield, on 12th & 13th October.
The training sessions were well-attended and focused on a variety of aspects of the game.
Warm-up: The sessions began with a thorough warm-up routine to prepare participants for the physical demands of the training.
Fitness: Fitness drills were incorporated to improve participants’ endurance, agility, and overall physical condition.
Shooting: Shooting techniques were practiced and refined, with emphasis on accuracy and consistency.
Offensive Patterns: Offensive patterns and strategies were discussed and practiced to enhance team coordination and attacking efficiency.
Competitive Fun Activities: Fun and competitive activities were included to maintain engagement and foster a positive training environment.
Overall: The weekend had well-organised sessions, a positive atmosphere, and focus on skill development providing participants with valuable opportunities to improve their skills and prepare for future competitions. The quality of the basketball understanding is beginning to make a marked difference on the quality of basketball being played. The impact of the new players has increased competition for places and the focus of the training weekends. We will continue with the joint training sessions going forward
