Swindon was the venue for the latest FIMBA GB +45 Men’s camp as the squad came back together and started their preparations for the European Championships in Italy, 2024.
Now led by the highly successful coach, Dave Greenaway, the +45 Men are looking to build on their disappointing 12th place finish in Malaga, 2022. With a core of returning players and some new additions, the weekend camp started with an intense session on Saturday with Coach Greenaway putting in some offensive and defensive building blocks that organises the team well and is helping to develop a strong identity.
Sunday saw them take to the court against a local Swindon team, giving them the opportunity to put their learnings into action and start to build their on-court chemistry.
The focus from the guys has really improved and you can clearly see sustained physical and mental effort throughout the sessions. We are clearly improving and the comradery and sense of family is palpable.
