Join the FIMBA GB Family and compete at the European Championships

Are you passionate about basketball and have dreamt about representing your country? That dream can become a reality thanks to the recent merger between GB Masters and FIMBA GB. We are now seeking expression of interest from players of all abilities, aged 35-75+ to represent Great Britain at the upcoming European Championships in Greece.

The 13th FIMBA Maxibasketball European Championships are being held in Athens, Greece 2026 and FIMBA GB are looking for players, coaches. team managers, physiotherapists and other support staff to join their 16 age group teams.

FIMBA GB have been sending age group teams from 35-70 to the World and European Championships since 2022, and have seen huge success bringing home 11 medals, including Gold for the +70 Men at the most recent European Championships, in Italy. FIMBA GB have have also seen great success at the World Cup competitions in Croatia, where they have picked up a further 7 medals, including Gold for the +35 Women. In 2026, the family will expand to include a +65 women’s category and a +75 men’s category.

Whether you are a seasoned competitor or recently returning to the game, this is your chance to compete on the international stage, experience the pride of representing your country and be part of unforgettable sporting experience – whilst having a huge amount of fun along the way, in true Masters Basketball style.
