Another fantastic turnout on Sunday for the GB +50s Basketball Squad. The standard was incredibly high once again, and the coaches now face a very difficult decision as the squad begins to narrow down to 26 players.
Every player who attended gave everything — working hard, listening, and responding to the detail that Coach Danny James was asking for throughout the session.
Before we began, players and coaches came together for a minute’s silence to remember those who are no longer with us. Their legacy, sacrifices, and love for the game continue to inspire us — we are here because of them.
Today was a fantastic session, which is making the selection of 26 from the 42 players being evaluated very challenging. Which is a great position to be in. I thought the players responded well to today’s practice, a lot of physical and mental challenges. The tempo was great and challenges met. What a great position to be in as a coach.
