+60 Women World Championships Preview

Following a disappointing tournament in Pesaro the +60 Women’s squad has worked really hard in its preparations for the World Championships in Switzerland in June.

Following the running of northern and southern trials in September and October respectively, a team of 11 players was selected in November to form the +50 Women’s squad to work towards the World Championships in Switzerland in June.

With 50 days to go until the 17th FIMBA World Maxibasketball Championship in Ticino, Switzerland, we look at their preparations.

The FIMBA GB +40 Women returned from the World Cup with a Silver and 2 Bronzes to add to their growing collection and put them in a good position heading to the World Championships in Switzerland this summer.

As FIMBA GB continues to grow and support it’s players and the Maxibasketball community, we have been awarded the Charity Excellence Quality Mark.

Henry Davies has been confirmed by Head Coach, Des Williams, as his player of the tournament at the recent World Cup in Croatia.

The FIMBA GB +55 Men had a good workout at the Masters World Cup as they continued their preparations for the World Championships in Switzerland this summer.

The +60 Women’s squad continued their preparations for the World Championship in Leicester.

FIMBA GB is proud to announce that it has officially gained Community Interest Company (CIC) status (FIMBA GB Masters CIC), marking a significant milestone in its mission to grow the game of masters basketball across Great Britain.

We are thrilled to announce that FIMBA GB +50Men Assistant Coach Mark Taylor has been appointed as the new Head Coach of the FIMBA GB +50 Men’s team.
