FIMBA GB Masters are delighted to announce the launch of the first ever Masters Great Britain Wheelchair basketball team.

Are you passionate about basketball and have dreamt about representing your country? That dream can become a reality thanks to the recent merger between GB Masters and FIMBA GB. We are now seeking expression of interest from players of all abilities, aged 35-75+ to represent Great Britain at the upcoming European Championships in Greece.

The 10 FIMBA GB Masters teams have returned from their first ever World Championships in Ticino, Switzerland and although not medalling this, there were some impressive individual and outstanding team performances allowing the teams to gain huge insight to be ready for the next World Championships in Brazil 2027.

FIMBA GB is proud to confirm that we are sending 10 officially recognised Great Britain teams to the 2025 FIMBA World Championships in Switzerland, spanning all eligible age categories.

As we prepare to enter the World Championships for the first time, sending 10 teams, we want to say a big thank you to all our volunteer coaches, team managers, physios and support staff.

Preparations for the World Championships in Ticino, Switzerland continue to progress well for the FIMBA GB +55W squad.

With just 40 days until the 17th FIMBA World Championships in Ticino, Switzerland, we take a look at the +40 Women’s journey so far.

FIMBA GB is proud to announce an exciting new chapter, a merger with the GB Masters Basketball Association. As a result, the organisation will now be known as FIMBA GB Masters CIC.

Following a disappointing tournament in Pesaro the +60 Women’s squad has worked really hard in its preparations for the World Championships in Switzerland in June.

Following the running of northern and southern trials in September and October respectively, a team of 11 players was selected in November to form the +50 Women’s squad to work towards the World Championships in Switzerland in June.
